SCCI Delegation Meets Honorable President Smt. Draupadi Murmu

under the leadership of President Vijay Anand Moonka, a delegation from Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce met with the Honorable President, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, during her visit to Ranchi. The Chamber made an earnest request to the President for the establishment of an airport in Jamshedpur. Despite being an industrial capital, the absence of an airport in Jamshedpur is unfortunate, leading to hindered development and hesitancy among potential investors. The Chamber urged the President to expedite the process of constructing an airport to promote regional growth and connectivity.

Furthermore, the Chamber highlighted the deficiency in higher education in Jharkhand, causing talented individuals to seek education opportunities in other states and leading to an outflow of valuable resources. The President was informed about the need for well-established universities to retain talent and drive the state’s progress.

The delegation also discussed the lack of multi-specialty hospitals in Jharkhand, resulting in inconveniences and financial outflows as residents seek medical treatment elsewhere. The Chamber requested the President’s attention to address this pressing healthcare issue.

Honorable President Smt. Draupadi Murmu attentively listened to all the demands and assured the delegation of taking appropriate actions. She fondly recalled her March 2018 visit to the Chamber building in Jamshedpur and expressed her willingness to consider the Chamber’s invitations for future engagements.

The delegation extended an invitation to the President to address the Chamber members during her next visit to the region, which she graciously accepted.

In attendance were President Vijay Anand Moonka, Honorable Secretary Manav Kedia, Vice President Nitesh Dhoot, Mukesh Mittal, Co-opted Member Rajiv Agrawal, Advocate Abhishek Agrawal ‘Goldie’, Rajesh Lodha, Satyanarayan Agrawal ‘Munna’, Secretary Bharat Makani, Sanwarmal Sharma, Anil Modi, and Advocate Piyush Chaudhary, among others.
