Empowering Growth and Unity Across Singhbhum, Kolhan, & Jharkhand

Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Jamshedpur, established in 1948 and registered under the Indian Companies Act in 1950, is one of the oldest and leading trade bodies representing the entire Kolhan Division of Jharkhand. The Chamber presently has more than 2200 members comprising major industrial houses, traders, chartered accountants, advocates and other professionals, including several industries from the Adityapur-Gamharia Industrial Area. Directly or indirectly, the Chamber represents more than 2,00,000 people associated with trade, commerce and industry in the region.

Over the years, the Chamber has had the privilege of hosting several eminent dignitaries including Hon’ble Governors, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and leading corporate personalities at our Chamber Bhawan. Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Smt. Droupadi Murmu (now Hon’ble President of India), had visited and addressed our members on 11th March, 2018. His Excellency Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand (now Hon’ble Speaker, Rajya Sabha), also visited our Chamber Bhawan on 2nd March, 2024 and interacted with members. Further, we had the honour of hosting Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla at Jamshedpur on 25th May, 2025 for inaugurating our Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

For decades, the Chamber has actively worked for the development of trade, commerce and industry and has continuously represented issues concerning businesses as well as matters of public interest.

The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) has been at the heart of Jharkhand’s economic landscape since its founding in 1948. Officially registered under the Companies Act in 1950, SCCI represents the collective interests of trade, commerce, industry, and professionals in the Singhbhum region, including Kolhan. With a legacy rooted in the vibrant industrial city of Jamshedpur, SCCI has steadfastly supported the business community, fostering economic growth and social welfare for over seven decades.

With a robust membership of around 1,500 and an indirect reach that impacts over 175,000 people, SCCI is a cornerstone of Jharkhand’s economic framework. Its membership includes major industrial houses, such as Tata Steel and Tata Motors, and a diverse range of businesses that shape the region’s industrial landscape.

Our organizational structure is built on four dedicated wings, each led by a Vice President and supported by a Secretary, all of whom sit on the Executive Committee. These wings are:

Enhancing community engagement and welfare initiatives across Singhbhum and Kolhan.

Strengthening the foundations of regional trade and commercial growth.

Supporting the industrial ambitions of Jharkhand, with a focus on sustainable development.

Navigating financial advocacy and fostering a conducive environment for economic policies.

The Chamber continues to be a beacon of support and opportunity for Singhbhum and Kolhan’s business community, contributing to the sustained growth and prosperity of Jharkhand. SCCI is committed to a future of economic development, professional collaboration, and regional progress.
